Prof. Dr. Andreas Rauscher – Professor for media theory and media history at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslauern and Visiting Professor for media and cultural studies at the University of Freiburg. Journalist and Scientific curator for the Frankfurt Film Museum (Exhibition Film & Games – Interactions 2015). Research focus: Film, game, comic, and cultural studies. Transmedia aesthetics and genre theory. Books on Star Wars, Star Trek (Das Phänomen Star Trek, Ph.D. in film studies 2002) and Video Game Genres (Spielerische Fiktionen, Habilitation in 2011). Co-edited volumes on the Simpsons, comic book movies, David Lynch, John Carpenter, James Bond, and the Czechoslovakian Nová Vlna, as well as introductions to game studies and to comic studies.
