His focus in teaching and research is in the area of Strategy and Innovation, User Experience Design, and Eco-Social Design – design that has a sustainable value and meets the social challenges of our time.

While maintaining his role as a Professor for Design at the HMKW University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main, he is also involved at the Hochschule Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. Here, he leverages his expertise in Spatial Interface Design to bolster the Virtual Experience Lab.

In addition to his teaching activities, he is involved in design juries, initiatives, and clubs for the promotion of young talent. Therefore, he is a partner in the advisory board of the German Ecodesign Award, a member of the Interaction Design Foundation, and the German Designer Club.
